We will be performing a Core System Upgrade beginning at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28 until 9:30 am on Monday, March 5, 2018.

What is a Core System?

The core processing system is the computer system that IDB-IIC FCU uses to maintain members' share, deposit, and loan accounts, as well as to process transactions.

Why is IDB-IIC FCU Upgrading to a New Core System?

Our new core system will allow us to serve you more efficiently and enable us to offer you more technology and enhanced products and services. Visit our System Upgrade information page for highlights.

Will Member Service Be Available During That Time?

While our branch will be closed on March 1 and 2, our call center at 202-623-3363 will be available 24/7 starting Wednesday, February 28, 2018. In advance of the system upgrade, we will also provide extended lobby hours beginning Monday, February 26 through Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Is My Personal Data Safe During the Upgrade?

Yes. As always, your personal data and account information are safe and secure with strong information security protocols.

Will My Funds Still Be Safe and Secure?

Yes. Your funds are secure and will be throughout and after the upgrade. IDB-IIC FCU accounts are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) Share Insurance Fund up to $250,000 per qualifying account.

Will I Have Access to My Funds During the Upgrade?

Yes. Your Debit and Credit Card will be available. While Debit and Credit Card service will be available during the system upgrade, real-time data on your funds availability may not be. To ensure you have sufficient funds to withdraw cash and make purchases with your debit and credit card during the upgrade, we are requesting you make any necessary adjustments ahead of time. You may also wish to plan ahead for internal transfers, e-transfers, wire transfers, and large cash withdrawals prior to the upgrade.

Will Wires Be Processed During the Upgrade?

No. We ask that you plan ahead and request your Wire Transfers before 3:00 pm, February 28, 2018. Any wire received after 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, will be processed on Monday, March 5, 2018. To show our appreciation for your cooperation and understanding, we are waiving wire fees for all wires submitted from Monday, February 26, 2018 through Wednesday, February 28, 2018 by 3:00 pm.

On Monday, March 5, 2018, online banking will be functioning normally and you may resume submitting wire transfer instructions as usual.

Will My Account Number(s) Change?

Yes. Checking, Savings, and Share Certificate account numbers will be preceded by two zeros and the suffix number will become part of your account number.

For example:

Current: 1234567-9 (Checking); 1234567-0 (Savings)

Future: 0012345679 (Checking); 0012345670 (Savings)

Will Loan Numbers Change?

Loan numbers will remain the same, except for Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit (HELOC). HELOC account numbers will change. Currently, a member’s HELOC account number is followed by another number that represents the type of HELOC loan (88, 89, or 90). New HELOC Accounts will be a serial number.

For example:

Current: 1234567-88

Future: 007020001

Statements for your home equity loan or home equity line of credit (HELOC) will also change. After the upgrade, on March 5, home equity statements will be sent separately from combined account statements (including checking, savings, consumer loans, etc.). Home equity and combined account statements will be sent out on the same date each month.

Will Checks Remain the Same?

Existing member checks will not change and members can continue to use them.

Will Online/Mobile Banking Change?

Online/Mobile Banking will not change and your passwords and login credentials will remain the same. During the upgrade period from February 28 – March 5, online/mobile banking will be unavailable (see “Service Availability Schedule” on the System Upgrade information page). However, you will be able to use your Debit and Credit Card at any time and your PIN will not change. While DEBIT Card service will be available during the upgrade, real time data on your funds availability may not be. To be sure you have the funds you need, we are requesting you make any necessary account and balance adjustments before February 28.

Will Bill Payments Process During the Upgrade?

Automatic or electronic bill payments that are set up prior to 3:00 pm on February 28 will process as usual, regardless of the payment dates. Be sure to set up any new end-of-month bill payments in your online account prior to the February 28 deadline to ensure they will process. Otherwise, you will have to wait until the completion of the upgrade on March 5 to enter new bill payments.

Will Recurrent eTransfers Process?

Any recurrent eTransfers in the system prior to 3:00 pm, February 28, will process. After the upgrade, approximately 9:30 am on March 5, recurrent eTransfers will need to be rescheduled.

Will Direct Deposit be Affected?

Existing direct deposits that you receive, such as social security, will continue to occur without interruption.

Will Overdraft Protection Still Be Available During the Upgrade?

No. We ask that you ensure you have sufficient funds in your checking account prior to the upgrade. Existing Overdraft Protection Services will be available again on March 5, 2018.

Will my MasterMoney® Debit Card or PIN # Change?

No. You will be able to use your MasterMoney® Debit Card anytime during and after the upgrade. Your PIN will not change.

Will my Credit Card or PIN # Change?

No. You will be able to use your IDB-IIC FCU Credit Card anytime during and after the upgrade. Your PIN will not change. For credit card assistance please call us at 1-800-944-2726.

What If I Need a New Debit Card or Replacement Card?

New debit cards and debit card replacements will not be processed between February 16 and March 5. All debit card requests made during those dates will be processed until March 5, and members can expect them to arrive in the mail 7-10 business days later.

Will my Statement Change?

Yes. Your new statement will look different. As with your current combined statement, your checking, savings, and consumer loan accounts will be shown on one statement, with the exception of home equity. Home Equity Loan and Line of Credit (HELOC) statements will be separate after the upgrade. Both member account statements – combined and/or home equity versions – will be sent out to members on the same date each month.

What Other Electronic Services Will Be Affected?

Electronic services such as Stop Payment, Travel Notification Forms, Change of Address Forms, Internal Transfers, Debit Card requests, Check Reorders, or any items that require use of online banking or electronic processing should be requested prior to 3:00 pm, February 28. These services will be available again after the upgrade on March 5.

What Changes Will Be Made to my Mortgage Statements?

None. Your mortgage statements will remain the same.

What Changes Will Be Made to Consumer Loans?

None. Your statement will look different after the upgrade, but existing consumer loans will still be included in your monthly combined statement.

Can I Apply for a Mortgage During the Upgrade?

Yes. You can quickly apply for a mortgage online at https://mymortgageidbfcu.mymortgage-online.com/.

What Will Happen With my Mortgage Payment?

If you have scheduled recurring monthly payments, it will process as usual. If your recurring monthly payment is scheduled with an IDB-IIC FCU account, you will need to ensure that you have sufficient funds in the account before February 28. If you do not have a recurring payment set up, please ensure to make a payment before February 28.
